CORBELS 

The corbels at the Upper North Level of Romsey Abbey are arranged in 15 tables with a total of 112 corbels.

Many of the corbels on the north face have been disfigured with a dark discolouration caused by a sulphite build-up, often referred to as clinkers, this has resulted from years of pollution.
